Water Treatment

We develop functional inorganic coatings that protect water quality during long-term storage and support clean water applications. Our certified, antibacterial materials help prevent contamination and are already in commercial use.

Safe Water Storage through Inorganic Coatings

Ensuring microbiological stability in stored water is essential for both public infrastructure and emergency systems. Our team has developed inorganic powder-based coatings that are applied to the inner surfaces of storage tanks and reservoirs. These materials:
• Prevent microbial contamination,
• Maintain long-term water stability,
• Are safe, durable, and non-toxic.
They are based on modified inorganic matrices with antibacterial properties, tailored to minimize biofilm formation and resist water-borne pathogens.

Certified for Use in Drinking Water Applications

Our coatings have been:
• Rigorously tested for safety and efficacy,
• Certified by the Czech National Institute of Public Health,
• Successfully licensed for industrial production and use.
These materials meet strict requirements for contact with drinking water, and their performance has been validated under long-term real-world conditions.

Photocatalytic and Antibacterial Functional Surfaces

In parallel, we also develop advanced functional coatings that utilize:
• TiO₂ nanoparticles for photocatalytic degradation of organic compounds,
• Silver nanoparticles for broad-spectrum antibacterial activity.
These coatings can be applied to metal, polymer, or ceramic surfaces (e.g., steel) to create:
• Self-cleaning,
• Disinfecting,
• Low-maintenance water-contact surfaces.
Such materials are suitable for use in water treatment systems, filtration units, and infrastructure exposed to environmental contamination.

Sustainability and Strategic Relevance

Our water treatment technologies support:
• Clean water goals under EU environmental policy,
• Reduction in chemical additives for disinfection,
• Improved water quality and public health,
• Application in both domestic and industrial contexts.
They offer a robust, non-biocide-based alternative for systems where long-term performance and safety are key.
