Awarding of the Horizon Widera 2022 Impact Prize (Security Innovation Award)

The Counterfog® rapid decontamination technology is the result of a unique research project involving a total of 11 research teams from six European countries. The project has been recently awarded by the prestigious Horizon Widera 2022 Impact Prize for innovators with significant contributions to the field of civil security. The prize was received in early October at a ceremony in Brussels by the project's lead coordinator, Prof. José Luis Pérez Díaz from the Universidad de Alcalá in Spain. The project took place from 2013 to 2017 and the research team included scientists from the IIC! Congratulation!
