A new approach could bring nuclear fusion a step closer to reality

The generation of energy from fusion reaction could become a reality at any moment. Recently, for the first time in history, scientists in California managed to recover more energy in a nuclear fusion than was used to start the fusion reaction. The V4F project by scientists from Finland, the Czech Republic, Germany and other countries will now attempt to breakthrough this area of almost unlimited energy sources. They plan to use a completely alternative way which could make nuclear fusion cheaper, more reproducible and less technologically demanding.

The consortium of scientists met for the first time in Prague's Villa Lanna.

Scientist Michael Londesborough from IIC is a member of the team.
