IIC Receives 7 GACR Projects!

This year, the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the CAS has received support for seven new GACR projects:

  • Jiří Henych - Surface chemical reactivity of cerium oxides in environmentally and biologically relevant reactions
  • Jan Demel - Utilizing molecular dynamics and 3D electron diffraction to solve small molecule structures using the crystal sponge method
  • Drahomír Hnyk - Magnetic and bonding properties of metallaboranes as a function of attached metal cations: The interplay of theory and experiment
  • Bohumír Grüner - An overlooked phenomenon with a significant impact – the chirality of (metalla)carborane clusters
  • Petr Bezdička - New methods for determining the glass phase and their application in predicting the effective properties of silicate ceramics and refractory materials
  • Silvie Švarcová - Enhancing the low initial strengths of ecological blended cements through innovative additives and nanomaterials
  • Tomáš Matys Grygar - Analysis of distributional data for geochemical mapping (co-proposed with Palacký University in Olomouc)

We congratulate all future project leaders and wish them and their entire teams much success in implementing their projects, enthusiasm for new discoveries, and the establishment of inspiring collaborations!
