Prestigious international project for ÚACH

Our institute is a member of an international consortium of research institutions, universities and industrial companies from three EU countries (Sweden, France, Czech Republic), which received financial support for a project focused on green ultrafiltration technologies for water purification called "GreenWaterTech" in the international call Era-net Cofund JPI (Joint Programming Initiative) Water, Oceans and Antimicrobial Resistance AquaticPollutants 2020: “Risks posed to human health and the environment by pollutants and pathogens present in water resources (AquaticPollutants)”

The project led by the University of Uppsala will also involve the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, the University of Lyon, the Institute for Catalysis and Environmental Research in Lyon and the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the ASCR, v.v.i. (coordinator for the Czech Republic) and FŽP UJEP. The three-year project was selected in a two-round system in a large competition of 184 projects, of which 53 advanced to the second round and 18 of them will be financially supported. “GreenWaterTech” received a total amount of EUR 1,381,575 (of which EUR 185,980 for ÚACH) from the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation program managed by TACR. The project coordinator for ÚACH is Jiří Henych.
