1st NARECOM – NAnoEnviCz REsearch COmmunity Meeting

Experimental photocatalysis as a first issue presented and discussed between the NanoEnviCz scientific teams and users.

1st NARECOM meeting organized by J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry of the CAS on Mar 17, 2021 02:00 PM.

B. Mužíková, Š. Adamec will present:
Heterogeneous photocatalysis – an effective tool for the removal of environmental pollutants
Within the field of nanotechnologies, heterogeneous photocatalysis, which uses the generation of strong oxidizing agents on the surface of a semiconductor photocatalyst using external radiation, has proven to be a very suitable method for removing pollutants from the environment. In our research, we focus mainly on optimizing the technology of removing NOx and VOCs from the air, as well as human and veterinary antibiotics from wastewater.

Elimination of antibiotic-resistant genes and bacteria in greywater using TiO2/UV degradation
