The Summer School for Nanomaterials 2025, organized by the NanoEnviCz research infrastructure, visited the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the CAS in Řež on September 9. The event, held from September 2 to 11 at leading scientific institutions in Liberec, Olomouc, Ústí nad Labem, Řež and Prague, offered university and technical school students a unique opportunity to experience cutting-edge nanomaterials research directly in laboratories.
The program in Řež focused on the study of environmental pollutant degradation and the monitoring of structural changes in materials. Students were introduced to modern methods (TGA, SEM and TEM, HPLC, FTIR and XRD) and tried out selected practical steps of sample preparation and measurement.
Emphasis was also placed on how individual techniques can be combined and applied to evaluate the properties and behavior of nanomaterials in various applications.
The Nano School gave students not only valuable insight into advanced research methods, but also inspiration for their further studies and future scientific careers.
We would like to thank all participants for their kind visit and active involvement!
